Grants for F&B SMEs [Updated Dec 2022]

Food and beverage businesses like restaurants, cafes, fast food chains and takeaway food kiosks are always looking for ways to reduce overhead and boost profits. In this digital age, there are technologies that help F&B businesses automate simple and repetitive tasks like taking orders, keying in orders into the POS system, sending order dockets by hand to the kitchen and more.

Some examples of such technologies are F&B POS systems with a cloud based backend, kitchen docket printers or displays, self ordering kiosks, QR ordering solutions, queue number displays and more.

These technologies help F&B businesses to automate simple and repetitive tasks, thus boosting efficiency and lower manpower dependence and cost. However, the initial costs of buying and implementing such solutions often make F&B business owners think twice. The good news is that if you are a SME F&B business in Singapore, there are grants to lower the initial costs of digital technologies by as much as 80%. Enterprise Development Grant (EDG)

The EDG helps Singapore companies grow and transform. This grant supports projects that help you upgrade your business, innovate or venture overseas. Receive up to 70% support for eligible costs.

Productivity Solution Grant (PSG)

F&B and Retail companies adopting Pre Approved Solutions and met the following criteria can get up to 80% of the solution costs subsidised.

• 
  Company is registered and operating in Singapore
• Have a minimum of 30% local shareholding
• Solutions purchased/leased/subscribed are to be used in Singapore

Skills Future Enterprise Credit

The SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit (SFEC) encourages employers to upgrade their employees through courses.

Eligible employers will receive a on time S$10,000 credit to cover up to 90% of expenses on qualifying costs for supportable initiatives, on top of subsidy levels of existing grants.

F&B employers that meet the following criteria will be eligible:

• Employed 3 Singaporean Citizens(SC) or Permanent Residents (PR) every month over the qualifying period
• Have not qualified for SFEC before
• Did not default SDL contributions during the qualifying period and have an active ACRA during qualification.

Qualified F&B employers will be notified.

Bonus of $300 per month over 5 months to be given to stallholders in hawker centres, wet markets, coffee shops and industrial canteen to encourage adoption of e-payments.

Healthier Dining Innovation Grant (HDI)

HDI is a funding scheme of up to $5,000 for F&B operators to take their first step towards capability upgrading in 4 areas: R&D, Purchase of Healthier Ingredients, Culinary Training, and Recipe Reformulation.

Pre-Approved F&B Solutions
