On 14th January 2020, Microsoft released a critical update to address a serious flaw in its Windows operating system. The flaw is a loophole in the Windows operating system which allows hackers to forge digital certificates used by some versions of Windows to authenticate and secure data.
Exploiting this flaw would lead to serious consequences for Windows systems and its users, including security breaches.
Support for the Windows 7 operating system has ended. Although still usable, it is recommended that Windows 7 users upgrade to Windows 10, as there will be no more updates and security patches for Windows 7, which makes it more vulnerable to security breaches.
At MegaPOS we ensure that our customer’s central operating system is safe and secure as a POS plays a crucial part in a shop’s operation. This is why all MegaPOS systems are running on Windows 10 so that your POS system will be getting the latest patches from Windows.
